Responsibility
1. Material: Why We Work With Alpaca Wool
At the heart us is a deep respect for alpaca wool—a natural material that offers not only superior technical properties but also a radically better environmental footprint compared to most conventional fibers.
Alpacas graze the highlands of the Andes in Peru, Bolivia, and Ecuador. Unlike many livestock, alpacas don't tear out root systems when they graze. Their soft, padded feet preserve fragile topsoil, and they require less food and water than sheep. What's more, they produce significantly less methane than ruminants like merino sheep—up to 30% less—making them a lower-emission grazer.
But the story doesn’t stop at carbon. Alpacas live in balance with Andean indigenous communities who have herded them for thousands of years. Their wool provides critical income for Quechua and Aymara families and helps preserve a traditional, low-impact way of life. These animals are not intensively farmed—they move freely and are shorn only once a year with deep cultural respect. We source our fibers from small- and medium-scale producers who prioritize animal welfare and local livelihoods.
2. Manufacturing: Close, Transparent and Responsible
We manufacture everything in places where we can visit in person. Right now, that means the EU. Our shirts and hoodies are made in Lithuania. Our beanies and accessories are knit in Finland.
This isn't about optics,i t is so much easier to coordinate and develop products when you have partners close to you. It's about knowing who makes our products, how they are treated, and what kind of environment they work in. The EU has some of the world’s strongest labor laws, and because we keep our supply chain tight, we’re not guessing—we’re seeing it with our own eyes.
We choose proximity not just for ethics, but for accountability. When you can walk into the factory, talk to the people, and understand their challenges, you make better decisions. Better for people. Better for product.
3. No 0 carbon bullshit!
We’re not going to tell you we’re carbon negative. Or that a wool hoodie saves the world. Fashion is never footprint-free – and any brand claiming otherwise is selling you fantasy.
But here’s what we do believe: sustainability starts with honesty. If you don’t know where your materials come from or you havent seen how they are made, you can’t call yourself sustainable. Simple as that.
We can trace our fibers to the highlands of the Andes. We manufacture in places we’ve walked ourselves. And we build garments that last – because wasting a rare, high-performance fiber isn’t just bad business, it’s wrong.
We’re not perfect, and we don’t pretend to be. (Even if we’re doing better than 99% out there.) But we’ll always give it to you straight.
